A slave named Pseudolus attempts to win his freedom by helping his master, Hero, woo the girl next door, courtesan Philia. Pseudolus must outsmart Hero's parents, Philia's master Lycus, and her new master Miles Gloriosus, who is coming to collect her. The classic plays of Plautus have been updated by a pair of brilliant writers and infused with Sondheim's music throughout.
